"As 2009 draws to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you do to support World Learning’s work around the globe. Your investment in our mission is critical to our growing success and a constant source of pride for me as the organization’s new president and CEO.

In preparation for the exciting developments ahead in 2010, World Learning recently unveiled a newly-refined mission statement:

World Learning works globally to enhance the capacity and commitment of individuals, institutions and communities to create a more peaceful and just world.

For more than 75 years, we have been committed to creating a more peaceful and just world through education, training and exchange programs. In the New Year, we will work in more than 80 countries. In each of these places, we will run programs that bridge cultures and transform lives in ways that help people gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their society, and the world."
